Local businesses and organisations we partner with
We are very fortunate to be supported by a number of local businesses and have partnerships with a range of community groups and local establishments.
Each year, we take part in the Ickwell Mayday celebrations – a tradition that dates back for more than 450 years in our parish. Our children are taught mayday dancing in school and then on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May, take part in procession that starts from our village in Northill and then dance around the maypole in Ickwell. Many of our former pupils have been the May Queen, and we hope that tradition continues.
We also have a very close relationship with the pre-school at Ickwell, where many of our pupils come from.
We are supported by some very generous local businesses, such as The Crown public house in Northill, who host the children's Christmas meal and allow us the use of their beautiful play area garden for our Easter egg hunt every year. Our Christmas turkey is supplied by local farm, Franklins each year, and this support is very much appreciated.
Holme Park Stud very kindly allow the children entry to the farm each spring to pick daffodils from the their fields giving the children a chance to explore the outdoors and have fun collecting the flowers.
